Abstract
The aim of this research register is to situate the three recently published books on carework by Nadya Araujo Guimarães and Helena Hirata in the consolidation of a new field of studies and research in the social sciences and to highlight the contributions they offer to the sociology of work and to the multifaceted understanding of social inequalities in the country and in Latin America.
