Violence Assistance and Surveillance in the Federal District from the monitoring and evaluation perspective

ABSTRACT

This case study aims to describe the process of reorganization of the Violence Assistance, Surveillance and Research Program, in the Federal District from the monitoring and evaluation angle. For that, thematic workshops, discussions and practical activities were carried out and a positive agenda on monitoring and evaluation was established using a participatory approach. The identification of goals, the program design definition, the preparation of annual programming and the construction of monitoring and evaluation meetings are discussed. We conclude that the conducting of the process with a Focus on the Improvement of the Program approached professionals of surveillance, monitoring and evaluation.
