Sexual and reproductive rights: perception of professionals engaged in the primary health care

This study aimed to identify the perceptions of nurses and social assistants, who attended educative action training in contraception, on sexual and reproductive rights and its importance to the promotion of these rights. A participant research was conducted by means of interviews and documentary analysis. The results reveal restricted knowledge of sexual and reproductive rights, allowing to conclude that training does not necessarily assures reflection and transformation of opinions and practices, a challenge posed to health care managers and health training bodies.
