Living beings are considered healthy when able to accomplish their possibilities, and, for human beings, such possibilities are produced historically. This paper aims to overcome the logic of the determining factors, understanding health by the social production of the human on people and the conditions of its full realization. For mankind, the possibilities are historically produced by the transformation of nature, performed socially, pushing the limits it imposes on their existence. The understanding of the determination of human health is reached through the analysis of the mode of production, the degree of development of productive forces and of social relations.
