Le réseau d'échanges des savoirs de belleville e ménilmontant: uma discussão sobre associativismo e reciprocidade no mundo contemporâneo

The aim of this article is to think about the local ways of appropriation of a certain form of association - le réseau d' échanges des savoirs (the net of interchanging knowledge) - of Belleville and Ménilmontant, two popular districts in the east of Paris. From my experience as a member of the net (reseau), from my observation and conversations with other members, I came to the conclusion that this appropriation happens in two ways: the first one respects the production of localicity, i. e., the condition of belonging of the local inhabitants; the second one respects the production of the social capital, based on confidence that leads to forms of cooperation. It is important to note that these two ways do not exclude one another, they interact and, often, melt.
