The article aims to provide a joint view of the main work of the sociologist Maria Isaura Pereira de Queiroz, trying to elucidate how the field work and the most theoretical works of the Author articulate micro and macro dimensions of social life. A perspective that reveals an essentially dynamic conception of society and the creative aspects that involve the actions of individuals and is therefore able to cognitively challenge the contemporary social sciences.
