This paper seeks to delineate the logics and interests that permeate the negotiation processes regarding the definition of a technological standard of Brazilian digital television. We considered essential the interpretation of the controversies results generated from the technological uncertainty that has been revealed through the argumentative manifestations of actors who took part on the public debate concerning the sociotechnical implications of a Brazilian Digital Television System. We proposed to identify the rationality of the actions of social actors that represent, on the one hand, entrepreneurs and industrial aspirations, and public interests on the other hand. It is possible to infer that the association of distinct interests and logics within this context has been translated as the definition of a hybrid model of digital television, sociotechnical network, persuasion product, strategies and strength relations. This network results from an array of translation operations from which are really fabricated and defined the technologies in the contemporaneity.
