Sociología y política del feminicidio; algunas claves interpretativas a partir de caso mexicano

This article proposes to establish a relation between the crisis of the patriarchal order and questioning to the forms of male dominance in the social emergence of women and the increase of femicide violence. That violence against women and the femicides are being used as male power devices to restore and to maintain, simultaneously, both individually and collectively, the positions of male dominance. It also function as an instrument of control to contain changes and transgressions to traditional gender regimes, which would be experiencing transitions caused by the emergence of women in the cultural-symbolic spaces of the public life and the labor market. To show this, concepts are clarified in its theoretical and political senses, as presented ina historical perspective. The empirical basis for thinking them the data were log Mortality Statistics in Mexico 1985-2010.
