Abstract
This article aims to problematize the singularities present in the narratives of young black gay men about their memories and what they imagine for the future. In the Brazilian context, their experiences are crossed by racism, homophobia, and social inequalities that are perpetuated throughout generations, causing high rates of violence, exclusion, and death. To compose this discussion we present reflections, from a perspective of racial and gender studies, of conversations held with two young black and gay men in order to address their experiences and what they imagine for the future. In the dialog constructed with our interlocutors, the singularities present in the way of narrating the connections and bonds built in their life stories are revealed, and how they relate to the narratives of the future, where they imagine spaces of self-care, shedding light on the resistances and possibilities of existence encountered by young people.
