Abstract
This review critically analyzes the proposals for renewal of the relationship between sociology and literature in the book by André Botelho, Maurício Hoelz and Andre Bittencourt published in 2022. The objective of this text is to work on the formal dimension under which the book is configured, showing how the relationship between form and content is significant for the central argument of the authors’ proposal. The relationship with Brazilian modernism and a certain tradition of contemporary Brazilian social thought is evident here. It also seeks to point out characteristics highlighted in some texts, as well as possible future contributions to be planned based on them.
