The Social Worker's job in hospitals: daily challenges

Abstract

Taking into consideration the challenges that the social worker acting in the field of -health faces everyday, at several aspects, this article treats of the ethical dimensions present in his work and which constitute the identity of the profession, expressing themselves at different levels from the ethic of cares up to the active ethic and the social protection. I finish it by pointing out the importance of the research to qualify the knowledge and the professional intervention itself.
