Contemporary social protection: cui prodest?

This article is about social protection as a complex and contradictory process that is not only social, but also political and economic. It refers to the paradigm battle that occurs in this process, as well as to two different traditions in political economics: the classic or liberal and the critical or Marxist. As the critical political economics is privileged, it demystifies the liberal use of social protection as a legitimate and activating means of the salaried labor market, by detecting the following inconsistency in the anti-liberal hosts: to consider the salaried work, that is spoiling and alienated, as a social right.
