Abstract:
This article aims at contextualizing Brazil and Spain in their specific situations and, from that, analyzing (1) the genesis of Social Work in both countries, as well as the unique theoretical and political paths they took throughout their social and historical processes. Such paths are the historical background of the characteristics of (2) the contemporary professional qualification. The investigations and experiences in a doctoral training at Universidade Complutense in Madrid are the starting point. The training happened in the first term of 2015.
