Open-access Materialist feminism in motion: repercussions and contributions to Brazilian Social Work

This article examines materialist feminist thought, particularly the francophone tradition, through its impact on brazilian feminism and its potential contributions to Social Work. We engage in a dialogue between dialectical historical materialism and feminist epistemology, which considers analyses of social relationships of sex, “race”/ethnicity and class, the sexual division of labor, and critiques of essentialist ideologies, all of which are powerful tools for confronting the domination of women.
