Este ensaio objetiva sintetizar elementos teórico-críticos sobre os diferentes matizes da extrema-direita na atualidade, situando algumas de suas configurações históricas e tendências contemporâneas no Brasil e em países nos quais sua presença tornou-se mais evidente nos últimos anos. Resulta de um seminário temático organizado no interior do Nepedh (Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Ética e Direitos Humanos - PUC-SP) e, embora não esgote a complexidade do tema, indica elementos relevantes para a agenda política da esquerda em face da barbárie e das manifestações do irracionalismo no interior da sociabilidade burguesa.

This article aims at summarizing theoretical and critical elements of the different graduations of the far right nowadays, as well as situating some of its historical configurations and contemporary tendencies in Brazil and in countries where its presence has become clearer in the past years. It results from a thematic seminar organized by Nepedh (Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Ética e Direitos Humanos - PUC-SP) and, although it does not work out the complexities of the theme, it indicates relevant elements for the political agenda of the left, in the face of the barbarism and manifestations of irrationalism inside bourgeois sociability.

Este ensaio versa sobre ataques aos direitos humanos e à política social, apesar da força discursiva que, contemporaneamente, ambos passaram a ter. Tais agressões se acentuaram com o fim da bipolaridade entre Estados Unidos (EUA) e ex-União Soviética (URSS), no final dos anos 1980, com a autodissolução da URSS, em 1991, e com a transformação dos EUA em superpotência mundial. Contudo, ao se transformar, os Estados Unidos, em alvo de atos terroristas, supostamente praticados por países pobres, a pobreza foi criminalizada e transformada em inimigo número um. Isso explica o desmonte dos direitos humanos, notadamente os sociais, e das políticas publicas que visam concretizá-los.

This article deals with the attacks to human rights and to social policies, in spite of their discursive power contemporarily. Such attacks were stressed by the end of the bipolarity between the United States (USA) and the ex-Soviet Union (USSR) at the end of the 1980's, by the USSR's self-dissolution in 1991, and by the transformation of the USA into a world superpower. However, when the USA became target of terrorist attacks, supposedly committed by poor countries, poverty was criminalized and became enemy number one. That fact explains the disassembling of the human rights, mainly the social ones, and of the public policies which aim at implementing them.

Neste texto, refletimos sobre a concepção liberal de liberdade sinalizando que seu individualismo leva a atitudes de intolerância frente às diferenças sociais. Em contraposição, resgatamos o significado ontológico-social da liberdade que supõe a sociabilidade, a alteridade e a equidade.

In this article, we discuss about the liberal conception of freedom, and we stress that its individualism leads to intolerant attitudes for social differences; on the other hand, we rescue the ontological and social meaning of freedom presupposing sociability, otherness and equity.

La consideración de la formación en Derechos Humanos en tanto elemento primordial del proyecto ético político del trabajo social es el elemento basal de este artículo, el que indaga en los proyectos curriculares de Trabajo Social en Universidades Estatales Chilenas. El estudio de carácter cualitativo, descriptivo y exploratorio, analiza el contenido de estos proyectos permitiéndonos así elaborar recomendaciones para la inclusión de los Derechos Humanos en la política pública de educación superior en general, y en las carreras de trabajo social en particular.

The education in human rights as a fundamental element of the ethical and political project of Social Work is the base of this article, related to the curriculum projects of Social Work in state Chilean universities. This qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study analyses the content of such projects, so as to lead to recommendations to include human rights in the public policy for college education in general, as well as in the careers in Social Work

Este artigo trata dos diferentes sentidos que a palavra "social" assumiu à luz de alguns momentos-chave das lutas de classes desde meados do século XIX. Com base nessa perspectiva histórico-crítica, analisamos a substantivação do adjetivo "social" e a imputamos à ascensão do movimento operário e à emergência da "questão social". Em seguida, discutimos a contraposição entre a "sociedade" e a "comunidade", cujo pano de fundo é o processo de "decadência ideológica da burguesia" e a reabilitação do passado feudal e dos ideais aristocráticos após 1848 por pensadores como A. de Tocqueville e F. Tönnies.

This article deals with the different senses the word "social" has taken at some fundamental moments of the class struggles since the middle of the nineteenth century. Based on that historical and critical perspective, we analyzed the transformation of the adjective "social" into a noun, and we related it to the rising of the workers' movement and to the emergence of the "social issue". Then we discussed the opposition between "society" and "community". The background of such opposition is the process of "ideological decadence of the bourgeoisie" and the rehabilitation of the feudal past and aristocratic ideals by thinkers as A. de Tocqueville and F. Tönnies after 1848.

O ensaio visa recuperar algumas indicações ontológicas sobre a estrutura sincrética do Serviço Social, tal como formulada por José Paulo Netto no início da década de 1990, para problematizar o significado social, para a profissão, de determinadas tendências inscritas na atual dinâmica econômica e política do Brasil. Procura fundamentar a atualidade e o vigor teórico da "tese do sincretismo" para analisar os dilemas contemporâneos do Serviço Social brasileiro.

This article aims at recovering some ontological indications about the syncretic structure of Social Work, as it was formulated by José Paulo Netto in the beginning of the 1950's, in order to question the social significance of some tendencies in the current economic and political Brazilian dynamics for the profession. It seeks to base the effective value and the technical vigour of the "thesis of syncretism" to analyze the contemporary dilemmas of the Brazilian Social Work.

O artigo busca apreender a categoria da ideologia nas notas dedicadas ao estudo da filosofia dos Cadernos do cárcere de Antônio Gramsci. Por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica dessa obra, são explicitados os fundamentos teórico-metodológicos e as articulações categoriais inerentes à questão da ideologia em Gramsci. A exposição apresenta a relação necessária entre ideologia e práxis histórica, a concepção de bloco histórico como totalidade social e as condições necessárias e suficientes à superação das relações sociais dominantes.

The article seeks to apprehend the category of the ideology in the notes dedicated to the study of philosophy in Antônio Gramsci's Prison notebooks. The theoretical and methodological fundamentals and the category articulations of the issue of ideology in Gramsci are explained through bibliography research related to that work. The explanation presents the necessary relationship between ideology and historical praxis, the conception of historical block as social totality and the necessary and sufficient conditions to overcome the dominant social relationships.
