This methodological study aimed to validate the content of nursing interventions in preparing patients who have undergone a prostatectomy for discharge. To do so, we obtained the opinion of experts about the adequacy of these interventions. Thirty-eight experts validated ninety-three interventions identified in a previous integrative review study. Only one intervention was considered relatively appropriate to its situation, with the others considered to be very appropriate. Based on suggestions from these experts, similar interventions were excluded, which resulted in eighty-four interventions. We concluded that the method permitted the validation of interventions that certainly will contribute to developing an appropriate discharge plan for patients who have undergone a prostatectomy.
