The present text consists of a reflection concerning the challenge within the teaching-learning process concerning nursing care. For such reflection, this text presents arguments in the sense of recognizing the importance of reconstructing the learning process, rescuing dimensions that have been denied by the hegemonic hyper-rationality within teaching. A possible path consists of rescuing sensibility, thus proposing strategies that favor the recognition of the multidimensionality of being human, rescuing the complexity of human existence as subjects for care, as well as that of nursing students.
