Open-access The revolutions of independence as revolutions of time: almanacs, calendars and chronologies in 19th century Brazil

The article analyzes conceptions of time in the process of Brazilian Independence, focused on almanachs, calendars and chronologies found in Brazil in the first decades of nineteenth-century. Also, it brings a discussion about ideas of time and change in historiography, in an effort to relate Brazil to other parts of Latin America and Europe.
