Paths and empires: notes on political culture and historiography

Abstract

From the historiographic discussion on the Portuguese overseas empire, the problematization of the administrative paths is indicated, and a methodological contribution of this notion is discussed in the work Império das Províncias, of 2008, to qualify the statesman configuration in the political culture of the II Kingdom.
