Open-access The Euclidian Amazon and the hiley’s integration programs during the Geisel government (1974-1979)

In this article we will discuss the context of the publication of the posthumous work Paraíso perdido (1976) by Euclides da Cunha, as well as the interfaces between the edition of this work and the economic integration programs of the Amazonian territory developed during the government of President Ernesto Geisel (1974-1979). From these propositions, we will analyze context, the cultural consumption and appropriations of the publication of said book from the conceptions of Roger Chartier. Specifically, we will discuss the issues that have involved the organization and publication of this work, the reception, appropriations and interfaces with the programs of the military regime aimed at the economic integration of the Amazon.
