Open-access Women entrepreneurs’ perceptions of knowledge management and intelligence: case study on the Council of Women Entrepreneurs and Culture

Abstract

The proposed study conducts an analysis focusing on Knowledge Management and Organizational Intelligence, taking as its universe the businesswomen of the Women’s Entrepreneurship and Culture Council of Marília/SP. The research aims to investigate how the group analyzed sees Knowledge Management and Organizational Intelligence occurring in their companies. Initially, a literature review was carried out on the concepts of Knowledge Management and Organizational Intelligence, as well as female entrepreneurship and its impact on society. From there, a case study was structured to show how female entrepreneurs view Knowledge Management and Organizational Intelligence within their businesses. The case study showed that the majority of businesswomen consider that the main Knowledge Management and Intelligence processes are performed in their businesses, some to a lesser degree than others. The case study shows the behavior of businesswomen towards knowledge and its use in their businesses, serving as guidelines for formulating strategies to better apply these resources in order to obtain better results.
