COMMAND WORDS AND EDUCATION: GENRES OF DISCOURSE AND RESISTANCE

ABSTRACT

This article aims to discuss the notion of discursive genre considering the theoretical writings of Medviédev (2012), Bakhtin (2016) and Volóchinov (2013, 2017) who dealt with the relations between language, history and ideology. The reflection revolves around trying to understand the functioning of genres not only as a formal representation of language, but also as a social materiality, constituted from the tensions between different social forces. For this, we take as an object of analysis the content of Portuguese Language Study Plan for Itinerant Schools (2013) with the focus of analyzing the operation of the genre «words of order», punctuating the fact that discursive genres, in this case, first, as a historical materiality and thus respond, in their formal constitution to the demands of a social movement.
