Este artigo é parte de uma Dissertação de Mestrado - "Mito e Paródia: sua estrutura e função no texto literário" - defendida em novembro de 1983 no Instituto de Estudos da Linguagem/Unicamp. A passagem aqui reproduzida pertence ao capítulo que trata da conceituação do mito. Ela procura apreender alguns de seus aspectos básicos dinamicamente, na transição de sua forma original, tal como ocorre nas sociedades primitivas e arcaicas, para seu sucedâneo ideológico, no contexto das sociedades históricas.

Abstract in English:

This article belongs, as a part of it, originally to the dissertation for the attainment of the Master (M.A.), titled "Myth and Parody : their structure and role in the litterary text", presented in november 1983, at the Instituto de Estudos da Linguagem/UNICAMP. The present text belongs to a chapter that develops the myth conceptualization. It tries to dinamically apprehend some of its basic aspects, in the transition from its original form, such as it occurs in the primitive and archaic societies, to its ideological succedaneous in the context of historic societies.

O autor expõe etapas que julga necessárias para o exame de modernas teorias a respeito das transformações econômicas, sociais e culturais da história brasileira. Por outro lado, esse movimento visaria investigar os fundamentos epistemológicos de tais "explicações do Brasil". O texto corresponde, insiste-se, a um plano de trabalho.

Abstract in English:

The author exposes some stages judged necessary for the examination of the modern theories about the economic, social and cultural changes of brazilian history. On the other hand, this movement would have in view to search the epistemological grounds of such "Brazil's explanations". This text, it must be remembered, presents it self only as a work plan.

The difficulties faced by Descartes to think about the body/soul substancial union, since he started from the real distinction of both the substances. An attempt to consider this conflicting union by means of a complementarity oposition.

Os contos filosóficos de Voltaire organizam-se a partir de dois pólos de reflexão: de um lado, a discussão sobre a noção de uma providência divina benfeitora, e, em alguns casos, mais precisamente, sobre o otimismo leibniziano; de outro, a polêmica em torno do materialismo ateu. Procuramos demonstrar de que modo, através de situações e personagens dos contos voltaireanos, a crítica das teorias providencialistas contribui para delinear o universo próprio dos conceitos do materialismo clássico.

Abstract in English:

Voltaire's philosophic tales organize themselves seting out from two reflection poles: on one hand, a discussion about the notion of a benefactor divine providence, and, in some cases, more precisely, about the leibnizian optimism; on the other hand, the controversy around the atheistic materialism. We try to demonstrate through some situations and characters of the voltairean tales how the critique of the providencialist theories contributes to the delineation of the classical materialism's concepts own universe.

O Pragmaticismo de Charles Sanders Peirce, como teoria geral da concepção, e uma teoria do signo e uma teoria do pensamento. Limitando-se à consideração do "teor racional" dos símbolos, o pragmaticismo procura estabelecer o tipo de causação atribuível ao pensamento: uma causação eficiente centralizada na percepção e no experimento e uma causação final que determina um hábito racional de conduta diante da classe geral de fenômenos experimentais representada no conceito.

The Pragmaticism of Charles Sanders Peirce, as a general theory of conception, is a theory of sign and a theory of thought. Limiting itself on the consideration of the "rational purport" of symbols, the Pragmaticism seeks to establish the kind of causation atribuitive to thought: an efficient causation centralized in perception and experiment and a final causation determining a rational habit of conduct before the general class of experimental phenomena represented by the concept.
