All along Brazilian history, Brazilian and foreign interpreters have questioned national society, building and rebuilding historical and theoretical issues. In spite of the diversity of the analyses, it is possible to rank them according to their points of view, their intellectual or family lineage, thus profiling themes and future perspectives that are recurrent in the history of the interpretations of culture, society, economy and politics in Brazil. Finally, from a wide point of view, the diversified group of interpretations can be seen as a complex fictional narrative that combines the search for clarity and the construction of meanings.
