Effect of generational diversity on the need for green spaces. Shannon's index reading, measurement and evaluation tool

Abstract

This article aims to clarify the effect of generational diversity on the formulation of the need for green space. The reading tool adopted is the Shannon index. Its use was accompanied by the Richness Index (number of age groups) and the Equitability Index. However, the more varied and balanced composition of the population, the need for green space per inhabitant occupies a median position in terms of the need for green space per inhabitant. A “good diversity” in the sense of richness and equity is revealed among the ferments for a sustained presence and preservation of the plant element in development projects.
