A new species of Scutelleria from Northeastern Cuba is described and illustrated. Scutelleria holguinensis is placed into Scutelleria subg. Scutellaria, sect. Its distribution is limited to the province of Holguín and following IUCN standards, it is considered in critically endangered (CR).
