RE.: Human ocular sparganosis in Southern Brazil

May 12, 2011

Professor Wiwanitkit,

Thank you for the interest and observations on our case report of ocular sparganosis in Brazil1. Although we were not able to observe the parasite's migration, the patient stated that the resected lesions had changed their position around the eyeball along a period of time. Because we found no other signs of parasitic infection before or after removal of these parasites, we strongly believe that coinfection is a possible hypothesis.

Sincerely,
