Abstract The environmental fragility of the Amazon River Delta has been accentuated by urban growth. However, in an urban resilience point of view, it is clear that these cities have a capacity to reinvent themselves and overcome the low capacity of social investments. In this sense, this paper aims to present a discussion on the resilience of small towns in the Amazon River Delta, based on the analysis of three components: infrastructure, urban economy and social aspects. The research was developed using satellite images, data from the 2010 Brazilian Census and information collected in the field, through the application of questionnaires to 874 households of three small cities: Afuá, Ponta de Pedras, located at the state of Pará, and Mazagão, in the state of Amapá. The study showed that the resilience of small cities can be seen as the ability to overcome structural problems and present possibilities for the resident population to reinvent themselves.

Resumo A fragilidade ambiental do delta do rio Amazonas se acentua em função do crescimento urbano. A partir de uma discussão sobre resiliência urbana, percebe-se que as cidades no entorno têm competência para se reinventar e superar a baixa capacidade de investimentos sociais. Nesse sentido, este artigo tem como objetivo discutir sobre a resiliência das pequenas cidades desse delta, mediante a análise de três componentes: infraestrutura, economia urbana e aspectos sociais. A pesquisa foi elaborada com a utilização de imagens de satélite, dados do Censo de 2010 e informações coletadas em campo, por meio da aplicação de questionários a 874 domicílios de três pequenas cidades: Afuá, Ponta de Pedras e Mazagão. O estudo demonstrou que a resiliência das pequenas cidades é capaz de superar os problemas estruturais e apresentar possibilidades para a população moradora se reinventar.

Abstract The aim was to identify if there are, in the faculty, differences in gender, race, and especially intersectionality between gender and race in the academic access to strictu sensu postgraduate programs in physical education, as well as to verify if the lines of research cover said themes. A quantitative survey was conducted among the professor and researchers from all Brazilian strictu sensu postgraduate programs in physical education, this was done through a previous search in data registered and made available by CAPES and, afterward, through websites of which program in order to identify gender, color of the skin and line of research. It was observed that 65.8% of the professor are white men, while a small percentage (0.52%) are black women. Lines and projects present little relation with race and gender issues. Moreover, it was verified that researchers that receive Research Productivity grants (hereby PQ) are mostly male, with white or yellow skin, and with academic production in the biomedicine field. In conclusion, it was found that the inequalities of gender and race are heavily present in the strictu sensu postgraduate programs in physical education and that themes concerning gender and race are scarce.

Resumo O objetivo foi identificar se há, no corpo docente, assimetrias de gênero, raça e especialmente a interseccionalidade de gênero e raça no acesso acadêmico aos programas de pós-graduação stricto sensu em educação física no Brasil; bem como verificar se as linhas de pesquisa envolvem as referidas temáticas. Foi realizado um levantamento do quantitativo de pesquisadores/professores de todos os programas de pós-graduação stricto sensu em educação física no Brasil a partir de busca prévia dos dados cadastrados e disponibilizados pela CAPES e de posterior consulta aos sítios eletrônicos de cada programa para identificação de sexo, cor da pele e linhas de pesquisa. Observamos que 65,8% dos docentes são homens brancos, enquanto uma pequena parte (0,52%) corresponde a mulheres negras. As linhas e projetos existentes têm pouca relação com as questões raciais e de gênero. Além disto, verificou-se que os pesquisadores contemplados com bolsa de Produtividade em Pesquisa (PQ) são majoritariamente pessoas do sexo masculino, de cor de pele branca ou amarela e que produzem a partir das ciências biomédicas. Conclui-se, portanto, que as desigualdades interseccionais de gênero e raça estão muito presentes nos programas de pós-graduação em educação física e que temáticas de gênero e raça são escassas.

Abstract Objectives: to analyze the level of anxiety in high risk pregnant women admitted in the maternity ward of the Hospital Universitário Lauro Wanderley (HULW) of the Federal University of Paraíba. Methods: an observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study of quantitative character, with a sample composed of 100 pregnant women diagnosed as high risk interned at HULW. Data collection was performed using the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), used to assess the level of anxiety the patient is in and the existing symptoms. For the statistical analysis, the Mann Whitney, Kruskal Wallis and Spearman correlation tests were used, considering p<0.05. Results: it was observed that 68% of pregnant women have moderate to high anxiety, with heat, fear of the worst happening, faster heartbeat, emotional instability and nervousness listed as the most common symptoms. The presence of an anxious condition was independent of maternal age, marital status or parity, however the gestational trimester, history of abortions and length of hospital stay were identified as risk factors for anxiety. Conclusion: pregnant women with a high risk diagnosis hospitalized at HULW presented anxiety, thus identifying the need for a multiprofessional support network, such as family assistance.

Resumo Objetivos: analisar o nível de ansiedade em gestantes de alto risco internadas na maternidade do Hospital Universitário Lauro Wanderley (HULW) da Universidade Federal da Paraíba. Métodos: estudo observacional, descritivo, transversal de caráter quantitativo, com amostra composta por 100 gestantes com diagnóstico de alto risco internadas no HULW. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio do Inventário de Ansiedade de Beck (BAI), utilizado para avaliar o nível de ansiedade do paciente e os sintomas existentes. Para a análise estatística, foram utilizados os testes de Mann Whitney, Kruskal Wallis e correlação de Spearman, considerando p<0,05. Resultados: observou-se que 68% das gestantes apresentam ansiedade moderada a alta, com calor, medo do pior acontecer, batimento cardíaco acelerado, instabilidade emocional e nervosismo listados como os sintomas mais comuns. A presença de ansiedade foi independente da idade materna, estado civil ou paridade, porém o trimestre gestacional, história de aborto e tempo de internação foram identificados como fatores de risco para ansiedade. Conclusão: gestantes com diagnóstico de alto risco internadas no HULW apresentaram ansiedade, identificando-se a necessidade de uma rede de apoio multiprofssional, como o atendimento familiar.

Abstract Background There is no consensus among tools for assessing frailty. Objective To evaluate the prevalence of frailty according to different tools in patients referred for elective valve cardiac surgery. Methods This is a cross-sectional study. All patients were ≥ 18 years of age, clinically stable. The following patients were excluded: those unable to perform the tests because of physical, cognitive, or neurological limitations; those requiring non elective/emergency procedures or hemodynamic instability. During the preoperative cardiology visit, frailty was assessed by the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB), the Frailty Deficit Index (FDI), handgrip strength, and gait speed 3m. For the entire analysis, the statistical significance was set at 5%. Results Our cohort consisted of 258 subjects. From the total cohort, 201 were ≤ 70 years of age (77.9%), the predominant etiology according to rheumatic disease (50.7% vs 8.8%; p=0.000) with double mitral lesion (24.9% vs 0%; p=0.000). Frailty was present in 32.9% according SPPB, 29.1% with reduced muscular strength. and 8.9% with FDI. Handgrip strength was weaker in elderly patients (26.7 vs 23.6; p=0.051) and gait speed was lower in the younger group, in which 36% were considered frail (36% vs 14%; p=0.002). Variables associated with frailty were age ≥ 70 years, female gender, aortic stenosis, and regurgitation. Conclusion Frailty in adult patients who will have elective heart valve surgery is present even in the younger groups, although the older group with comorbidities are more frail. Frailty was more clearly shown by the SPPB than by the FDI and handgrip tests.

Resumo Um novo vírus denominado Sars-CoV-2, ou COVID-19, surgiu no final do ano de 2019 e causou diversas modificações em todo o mundo. Diante disso, os países estabeleceram medidas preventivas contra essa pandemia, tais quais o isolamento social, uso de equipamentos de proteção individual (EPI’s) e cuidado com indivíduos enquadrados nos chamados grupos de risco, como idosos, hipertensos, doentes crônicos e recentemente, as gestantes e puérperas foram inclusas. Para as puérperas, a amamentação é um momento primordial, que, além de um momento de alimentação natural, é uma oportunidade de fortalecer o vínculo mãe-bebê. Visando uma atenção mais cautelosa para uma possível transmissão de COVID-19 durante a amamentação, as medidas preventivas para esse ato podem dificultar esse binômio e trazer prejuízos para ambos.

Abstract A new virus called Sars-CoV-2, or COVID-19, emerged in late 2019 and caused several changes worldwide. In light of this, countries adopted preventive measures against this pandemic, such as social isolation, use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and special care with people who are at higher risk, such as elderly, people with hypertension or chronic conditions, and recently newborns, pregnant and puerperal women were also included. For puerperal women breastfeeding, it is an extremely important moment, which, in addition to being a natural feeding moment, it is an opportunity to strengthen the mother-baby bond. Aiming at a more cautious approach to avoid possible transmissions of COVID-19 during breastfeeding, preventive measures can hinder this binomial and bring harm to both.

Resumo Mapeamos estudos que envolvem relações entre “Educação Física e mídia” e identificamos como a mídia é tangenciada pela Educação Física, refletindo sobre os achados. Os procedimentos metodológicos incluem Bibliometria realizada na Web of Science, no período entre 1945 e 2019 e Análise de Conteúdo. A temática é emergente e não é tratada globalmente. Há destaque para a participação brasileira, mas o total de publicações é baixo. As áreas do conhecimento que mais discutem o assunto são as Ciências Humanas, Ciências da Saúde e Ciências Sociais Aplicadas. Há desafios a serem superados em relação às redes de colaboração entre autores, instituições e países. As categorias de destaque incluem “influência da mídia sobre a formação de subjetividades do público” e aquelas que a partir de diferentes especificidades estão ligadas à escola.

Abstract We mapped studies that involve relationships between ‘Physical Education and the media’ and identified how the media is touched by Physical Education, reflecting on the findings. The methodological procedures include bibliometrics analyses carried out on Web of Science for 1945-2019, and Content Analysis. The theme is emerging and has not been addressed globally. Brazilian participation is highlighted, but the total number of publications is low. The areas of knowledge that most discuss the subject are the Humanities, Health Sciences and Applied Social Sciences. There are challenges to be overcome regarding collaboration networks among authors, institutions and countries. Prominent categories include ‘influence of the media to form the audience’s subjectivities’ and those that, based on different specificities, are linked to the school.

Los procedimientos metodológicos incluyen Bibliometría realizada en la Web of Science en el periodo comprendido entre 1945 y 2019 y Análisis de Contenido. Se trata de un tema emergente que no ha sido abordado a nivel mundial. Hay destaque en la participación brasileña, pero el número total de publicaciones es bajo. Las áreas de conocimiento que más discuten este tema son las Ciencias Humanas, Ciencias de la Salud y Ciencias Sociales Aplicadas. Hay retos a superar en relación a las redes de colaboración entre autores, instituciones y países. Las categorías destacadas incluyen “influencia de los medios de comunicación en la formación de subjetividades del público” y aquellas que, en base a diferentes especificidades, se vinculan a la escuela.

Resumo Este trabalho tem como objetivo sistematizar um conjunto de evidências científicas apresentadas em artigos internacionais que identificam os principais problemas que estão afetando os profissionais de saúde envolvidos diretamente no enfrentamento da pandemia de COVID-19 e apontam ações e estratégias para a proteção e a assistência à saúde desses profissionais. O principal problema é o risco de contaminação que tem gerado afastamento do trabalho, doença e morte, além de intenso sofrimento psíquico, que se expressa em transtorno de ansiedade generalizada, distúrbios do sono, medo de adoecer e de contaminar colegas e familiares. Situando esta problemática na realidade brasileira, este artigo resgata a análise dos problemas crônicos que afetam os trabalhadores de saúde, decorrentes do sub-financiamento do SUS, do congelamentos dos gastos no setor, da deterioração dos serviços e da precarização da força de trabalho e aponta os desafios agudos que se apresentam à gestão do trabalho e capacitação de pessoal, diante da expansão da infraestrutura de leitos hospitalares e da reorganização do processo de trabalho na atenção básica para o enfrentamento da pandemia, enfatizando as medidas necessárias para a proteção e a promoção da saúde física e mental dos profissionais e trabalhadores da saúde.

Abstract This work aims to systematize a set of scientific evidence presented in international papers that identify the main problems affecting health professionals directly involved in coping with the COVID-19 pandemic and point out actions and strategies for the protection and healthcare of these professionals. The risk of infection is the main issue and has led to absence from work, illness, death, and intense psychological distress, expressed in generalized anxiety and sleep disorders, fear of becoming ill and infecting colleagues and relatives. In the Brazilian reality, this work revives the analysis of the chronic problems affecting health workers, resulting from the underfinancing of the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), the sector’s spending freeze, the deterioration of services and workforce’s insecurity, and points out the acute challenges of work management and staff training, given the expanded hospital bed infrastructure and reorganization of the work process in primary care to face the pandemic, emphasizing the necessary measures for the protection and promotion of the physical and mental health of health professionals and workers.

RESUMO O interesse pela realização do estudo parte da visibilidade que indivíduos não binários adquirem em diferentes espaços, inclusive em manifestações artísticas que convidam ao diálogo. Um exemplo é o evento “Mostra de Multilinguagens Corpos Visíveis: arte e diversidade”, que promoveu um debate público envolvendo a temática. A mesma comportou a exposição fotográfica “Estética do Invisível”, de onde selecionamos duas imagens, com o objetivo de interpretá-las, discutindo alguns sentidos atrelados às suas composições. Trata-se daquelas intituladas “Ensaio disfarce para o fim do mundo” e “Meu corpo criação”. O método é inspirado na antropologia da imagem. O mesmo exige que a interpretação supere o conteúdo das fotografias e considere aspectos ligados à sua produção e exibição. Os resultados apontam que ambas as imagens superam o discurso autoritário, representando indivíduos que recusam se submeter aos processos identitários vigentes. Elas expressam um modo de sofrimento, que se traduz em sintoma pela dissolução da unidade simbólica de pertencimento. Os elementos que as constituem evocam noções de divindade, poder, resistência e transformação. Além de subjetividades cambiantes, as fotografias iluminam o despontar de um novo paradigma que desafia convenções e acarreta mudanças em diferentes campos, principalmente aos que atuam diretamente sobre o corpo.

ABSTRACT The interest in conducting this study stems from the visibility that non-binary individuals acquire in different spaces, including in artistic manifestations that invite one to dialogue. An example is the event “Visible Bodies Multilanguage Exhibition: Art and Diversity”, which promoted a public debate around the theme. It included a photographic exhibition entitled “Aesthetics of the Invisible”, from which we selected two images to be interpreted, discussing some senses linked to their compositions: “Ensaio disfarce para o fim do mundo” and “Meu corpo criação”, henceforth referred to as “Disguised Rehearsal for the End of the World” and “My Creation Body”, respectively. The method is inspired on the anthropology of image. It requires that interpretation goes beyond the content of the photographs to encompass aspects tied to their production and exhibition. Results show that both images overcome the authoritarian discourse, representing individuals who refuse to submit themselves to current identity processes. They express a mode of suffering that is translated into a symptom by the dissolution of the symbolic unit of belonging. The elements that constitute them evoke notions of divinity, power, resistance and transformation. In addition to changing subjectivities, the photographs illuminate the rise of a new paradigm that defies conventions and brings about changes in different fields, especially in those that act directly on the body.

Resumo Este trabalho tem como objetivo sistematizar um conjunto de evidências científicas apresentadas em artigos internacionais que identificam os principais problemas que estão afetando os profissionais de saúde envolvidos diretamente no enfrentamento da pandemia de COVID-19 e apontam ações e estratégias para a proteção e a assistência à saúde desses profissionais. O principal problema é o risco de contaminação que tem gerado afastamento do trabalho, doença e morte, além de intenso sofrimento psíquico, que se expressa em transtorno de ansiedade generalizada, distúrbios do sono, medo de adoecer e de contaminar colegas e familiares. Situando esta problemática na realidade brasileira, este artigo resgata a análise dos problemas crônicos que afetam os trabalhadores de saúde, decorrentes do sub-financiamento do SUS, do congelamentos dos gastos no setor, da deterioração dos serviços e da precarização da força de trabalho e aponta os desafios agudos que se apresentam à gestão do trabalho e capacitação de pessoal, diante da expansão da infraestrutura de leitos hospitalares e da reorganização do processo de trabalho na atenção básica para o enfrentamento da pandemia, enfatizando as medidas necessárias para a proteção e a promoção da saúde física e mental dos profissionais e trabalhadores da saúde.

RESUMO A região do Quadrilátero Ferrífero (QF) em Minas Gerais apresenta notável geobiodiversidade, a despeito de uma longa história de pressões antrópicas (mineração, urbanização), mas ainda carece de estudos detalhados sobre a distribuição das formações vegetais nos diferentes substratos. No presente estudo, utilizou-se imagens Aster, levantamentos gamaespectométricos (Gama), mapeamentos geológicos existentes e trabalhos de campo, para a discriminação e quantificação dos remanescentes da vegetação sobre substratos ferruginosos e outros no QF. Utilizou-se o algoritmo da Máxima Verossimilhança (MaxVer) para a classificação das tipologias de vegetação associadas aos substratos predominantes (canga-ferruginosos, filitos e quartzitos), assim denominados: Campo Rupestre Aberto, Campo Rupestre Arbustivo, Capão Florestal, Cerrado Stricto Sensu, Campo Cerrado, Florestas Estacionais, Pastagens e Reflorestamentos, sendo os três últimos não discretizados quanto ao substrato. A utilização das imagens Aster apenas não permitiu uma separação confiável de substratos ferruginosos dos não ferruginosos, sendo necessária a utilização de produtos de processamento de dados Gama e de geologia. A integração entre as bases de informação (Aster-MaxVer + Gama + geologia) permitiu o mapeamento da vegetação associada a três tipos de substratos: ferruginoso, potencialmente ferruginoso e não-ferruginoso. O mapeamento revelou que a vegetação sobre substrato ferruginoso e potencialmente ferruginoso recobrem, respectivamente, 8,7% e 6,9% no QF. Estes dados preliminares inéditos permitem análises mais detalhadas do padrão de distribuição e fragmentação das fitofisionomias sobre substratos ferruginosos, com grande importância para as estratégias de conservação da geobiodiversidade do QF, e necessitam de checagens de campo e reconhecimento da vegetação, por meio de técnicas inovadoras.

ABSTRACT The Iron Quadrangle (IQ) region in Minas Gerais is remarkably geobiodiverse, despite a long history of anthropogenic pressures such as mining and urbanization, but still lacks detailed studies on the distribution of its remaining native vegetation in different substrates. In this study, we utilized Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) images, besides Gamma-spectrometry (Gamma) survey data associated with existing geological mapping (GM) and extensive fieldwork, to discriminate and quantify remnants of vegetation on ferruginous substrates in the IQ. The Maximum Likelihood (ML) algorithm was used to classify the vegetation types, thus named: open Rupestrian Field, shrubby Rupestrian Field, Capão Forest, Cerrado stricto sensu, Cerrado Field, Seasonal Forests, Pastures and Reforestation (the latter three regardless of substrate type) associated with the predominant substrates (ferruginous ironstone, phyllites, and quartzite). The use of ASTER images alone did not allow a reliable separation of ferruginous and non-ferruginous substrates, but the integration of all different data (ASTER-ML + Gamma + GM) allowed the provisional mapping of the vegetation associated with ferruginous substrates, potentially ferruginous and non-ferruginous substrates. The resulting map shows that the vegetation on ferruginous and potentially ferruginous substrates cover 8.7% and 6.9% of the IQ, respectively. The detailed analysis of the distribution and fragmentation of phytophysiognomies on ferruginous substrates is of great importance for developing strategies to conserve the geobiodiversity of the IQ, and need to be further refined by checking and field mapping by novel approaches.

RESUMO Nos últimos anos, percebeu-se uma mudança no perfil do desmatamento na Amazônia, evidenciando índices crescentes de pequenos desmatamentos, decorrentes da diversificação das atividades produtivas relacionadas à agricultura familiar. Na Amazônia, o estado do Pará se destaca por sua localização estratégica quando se considera o avanço do Arco do Desmatamento, e também pela sua contribuição na distribuição de terras de Reforma Agrária, cujos assentamentos somam-se atualmente 1.055 unidades e 221.804 famílias instaladas. Diante deste contexto, este trabalho tem como objetivo investigar a influência que os projetos de assentamentos de Reforma Agrária têm sobre o desmatamento no município de Novo Repartimento (PA) no período de 2000 a 2013.

ABSTRACT In recent years, it is possible to realize a change in the profile of deforestation in the Amazon, reflecting increasing rates of “little deforestations”, result from the diversification of productive activities related to family farming. In the Amazon, the state of Pará stands out for its strategic location when considering the Arc of Deforestation in advance, and also for its contribution in the distribution of lands by the Agrarian Reform, whose settlements add 1.055 units and 221.04 families installed. In this context, this paper aims to investigate the influence of the settlement projects of agrarian reform have on deforestation in the city of Novo Repartimento (PA) from 2000 to 2013.

RESUMEN En los últimos años, se percibió un cambio en el perfil de la deforestación en la Amazonia, evidenciando índices crecientes de pequeños desmontes, resultantes de la diversificación de las actividades productivas relacionadas a la agricultura familiar. En la Amazonia, el estado de Pará se destaca por su ubicación estratégica cuando se considera el avance del Arco de la Deforestación, y también por su contribución en la distribución de tierras de Reforma Agraria, cuyos asentamientos se suman actualmente 1.055 unidades y 221.804 familias instaladas. En este contexto, este trabajo tiene como objetivo investigar la influencia que los proyectos de asentamientos de Reforma Agraria tienen sobre la deforestación en el municipio de Novo Repartición (PA) en el período de 2000 a 2013.

Resumo Esta pesquisa objetiva explicitar alguns dos sentidos relacionados à Educação Física abordada no quadro Medida Certa exibido pelo programa Fantástico da Rede Globo de Televisão no ano de 2011. Nele foi possível observar a proposta de trabalho de um professor de Educação Física, cujo objetivo era “reprogramar” o funcionamento do corpo dos participantes dentro do período de três meses. As mudanças consistiam basicamente na adesão à prática de exercício físico e na melhoria dos hábitos alimentares. Na ocasião o público era convidado a modificar comportamentos acompanhando as dicas disponibilizadas. O referencial teórico que norteia a investigação do processo de produção de sentidos é a Análise do Discurso. A coleta dos dados ocorreu através do acesso ao site da emissora, que disponibiliza, por um determinado tempo, as edições do quadro em foco. Partindo de observação criteriosa houve transcrição de falas e construção de categorias, que foram analisadas a partir de uma grade analítica já existente, considerando o título, quem fala, o que é dito, o intermediário e as estratégias utilizadas para divulgação do discurso. Além de evidenciar significados relativos à Educação Física representada na mídia televisa atualmente, são propiciadas reflexões sobre alguns dos princípios que regem a elaboração de práticas corporais na atualidade. Concluímos que a proposta presente no quadro Medida Certa colaborou para o entendimento de uma Educação Física baseada na perspectiva biológica, que se estabelece frente à imposição de um risco ao sujeito, valorizando-se como fonte de salvação através dos conselhos disponibilizados principalmente pelo professor de educação física. Além disso, trata-se de uma abordagem fragmentada das questões sociais que envolvem a realidade do telespectador.

Abstract This research aims to demonstrate some of the meanings attributed to Physical Education as seen on the Medida Certa segment, aired by Globo Television Network in the Fantastico show, in 2011. This segment showed the work of a Physical Education instructor whose goal was to “reboot” the body of the participants within three months. The adjustments basically consisted in the adhesion to physical activity and in dietary improvements. The audience was also invited to modify their behaviors by following the advice being given to the participants. Discourse analysis will be the theoretical basis for the investigation on the process of meaning production. The analyzed data was collected on the network’s website, which made the segment temporarily available online. After careful observation, dialogues were transcribed and categories were identified, the latter having been analyzed based on a preexisting analytical framework which considers the title, the speaker, the content of the speech, the intermediary and the strategies for publishing the discourse. Aside from shedding light on the meanings currently attributed to Physical Education in television media, the study reflects on some of the principles that conduct the elaboration of bodily practices today. We concluded that the idea behind the Medida Certa segment has contributed to a biologic, risk-based outlook on Physical Education, which derives its value from being the subject’s source of salvation through advice given mainly by the physical education instructor. The show’s approach is also deficient with regards to the social issues which the audience may face.

ABSTRACT Cover crops contribute to nutrient cycling and may improve soil chemical properties and, consequently, increase crop yield. The aim of this study was to evaluate cover crop residue decomposition and nutrient release, and the effects of these plants on soil chemical properties and on onion (Allium cepa L.) yield in a no-tillage system. The experiment was carried out in an Inceptisol in southern Brazil, where cover crops were sown in April 2012 and 2013. In July 2013, shoots of weeds (WD), black oats (BO), rye (RY), oilseed radish (RD), oilseed radish + black oats (RD + BO), and oilseed radish + rye (RD + RY) were cut at ground level and part of these material from each treatment was placed in litter bags. The litter bags were distributed on the soil surface and were collected at 0, 30, 45, 60, 75, and 90 days after distribution (DAD). The residues in the litter bags were dried, weighed, and ground, and then analyzed to quantify lignin, cellulose, non-structural biomass, total organic carbon (TOC), N, P, K, Ca, and Mg. In November 2012 and 2013, onion crops were harvested to quantify yield, and bulbs were classified according to diameter, and the number of rotted and flowering bulbs was determined. Soil in the 0.00-0.10 m layer was collected for chemical analysis before transplanting and after harvesting onion in December 2012 and 2013. The rye plant residues presented the highest half-life and they released less nutrients until 90 DAD. The great permanence of rye residue was considered a protection to soil surface, the opposite was observed with spontaneous vegetation. The cultivation and addition of dry residue of cover crops increased the onion yield at 2.5 Mg ha-1.

RESUMO Neste artigo, expõe-se reflexões iniciais de uma pesquisa que investiga o currículo da disciplina Educação Física no Colégio Pedro II - CP II, desde a década de 80 aos anos iniciais do século XXI, lançando luzes sobre as diferentes influências que marcaram a conformação desta disciplina na instituição. Dentro dessa perspectiva, analisa-se todos os documentos curriculares produzidos no recorte temporal em questão, indo dos Planos Gerais de Ensino - PGE's (1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1989, 1990/91/92, 1996) até o Projeto Político Pedagógico - PPP (2002), em vigor até hoje.

ABSTRACT In this article, we present initial reflections of a research that investigates the curriculum of the Physical Education discipline in the College Pedro II - CP II, from the decade of the 80 to the first years of the 21st century, throwing light on the different influences that marked the conformation of this Discipline in the institution. In this perspective, all the curricular documents produced in the temporal cut in question are analyzed, going from the General Teaching Plans - PGE's (1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1989, 1990/91/92, 1996 ) Until the Pedagogical Political Project - PPP (2002), in force until today.
