Capsulotomia posterior com Nd: YAG laser em glaucomatosos pseudofácicos

RESUMO

Dez pacientes pseudofácios não glaucomatosos e 19 pseudofácios portadores de glaucoma crônico simples, submetidos à capsulotomia posterior com Nd: YAG laser foram comparados quanto à realização da capsulotomia e à sua evolução após o tratamento. Observou-se que os glaucomatosos requerem mais energia do Nd: YAG laser e apresentam aumento significante da pressão intra-ocular, superior à dos não glaucomatosos após o procedimento.

SUMMARY

The Nd: YAG laser posterior capsulotomy was performed in 10 pseudophakic non-glaucomatous patients and in 19 pseudophakic cronic simple glaucoma patients. Nd: YAG laser parameters and procedure complications were compared. A statistically greater total Nd: YAG laser energy and a higher intra ocular pressure rise were observed in glaucomatous patients.
