Capilar hemangioma in children - intralesional corticosteroid (triamcinolone) infiltration. Our experience with 13 cases

RESUMO

Os autores apresentam a sua experiência em 13 casos de crianças portadoras de hemangioma capilar palpebral e orbitário tratados com infiltração intralesional de triamcinolona. Em todos os casos foram observados regressão acentuada da tumo ração, com melhora rápida da fisiologia palpebral, da estética e de outros aspectos, tais como proptose, estrabismo, ptose etc. Não foram detectados clinicamente quaisquer efeitos colaterais.

SUMMARY

The authors report their experience with 13 cases of eyelid and orbital hemangioma in children treated with intralesional corticosteroids (triamcinolone) infiltration. In all of its ocurred involution of tumor’s size, recuperation of eyelid’s physiology, improved cosmetics effects and other aspects like proptosis, strabismus, ptosis, etc.
