This paper presents firstly a conceptual reconstruction of the reasons that lead Leibniz, in his correspondance with Arnauld, to introduce the concept of possible divine decrees. In a second moment, it develops some arguments in order to demonstrate that the introduction of this concept makes inconsistent the global architetonic of the leibnizian metaphysics.
