Ethics, prejudice and education: characteristics of publications in national periodicals in education, philosophy and psychology from the 1970's to 2003

Presents a bibliographic study referring to the theme "ethics and prejudice" in the ambit of schooling, in national education, psychology and philosophy periodicals from the 1970's to 2003. In total, 570 texts were categorised and analysed. We verified that, especially in the last three decades, researchers have shown a concern for ethical issues and the question of diversity and its relationship with schooling. We also found evidence that some scientific reviews stood out for the large number of scientific productions published on the theme during the period covered by this study. In addition to this, the majority of the research projects were theoretical studies and bibliographic reviews to the detriment of empirical research. An index of the texts researched was compiled which, along with the material collected, will serve as a database for researchers from different areas of knowledge who are interested in studying the theme of "ethics and prejudice" and its numerous sub-themes.
