This is a documentary research, transversal, descriptive and exploratory. We examined information about syllabus and programs relating to the core curriculum, in order to critically analyze how the teaching of ethics/bioethics and the other humanities is being designed in the course of Medicine UFRN, and which issues are addressed during their education, and the times when such matters are inserted. All required subjects (59 subjects) were analyzed, out of which were obtained the program of 39 (66.1%) and the syllabus of 54 (91.53%). Were detected three important moments in the course in which there was no inclusion of thematics refering to ethics/bioethics and humanities among the activities listed in the programs or syllabi. Doctor-patient relationship and the illegal practice of medicine were the most frequent themes. This research provides an underexplored overview of the teaching of ethics/bioethics and humanities in the medical course of UFRN, serving to support the improvement of education in ours and in other universities.
