The authors present a teaching method that has been tested, introduced and utilized by them in laboratory classes for the procedures of venous punction, intravenous injections and infusions, for Basic Nursing and Introduction to Hospital students,for Nursing and Medicine Graduations Courses respectively, at University of Mato Grosso. They describe the artesanal system instalation that simulates a vein and indicate the necessary equipment for its construction. They stress about the importance of the laboratory use for the procedures simulation and conclude that the system has been an excellent way to tech them.
