This paper shows body docilization for fear, one of the categories which emerged from an analytical-critical study that aims to clarify how the process of disciplinary formation of nurses occurs. The data have been collected close to nursing professors, graduated nurses and students from three Nursing Courses of Public Universities at the State of Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil. Based on Foucault's disciplinary power concept, it presents the students body domination by fear as one of present disciplinary instruments in the relationship between nursing professor and student, favouring the nurses formation as disciplined professionals, but docile.
