Abstract
BEUTER, Margrid; ALVIM, Neide Aparecida Titonelli and MOSTARDEIRO, Sadja Cristina Tassinari de Souza. Leisure in the life of the nursing students in the context of taking care of yourself to take care of the other. Texto contexto - enferm. [online]. 2005, vol.14, n.2, pp. 222-228. ISSN 0104-0707. http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S0104-07072005000200009.
This study aimed at identifying the leisure activities of the nursing students during their university course. It is a descriptive, exploratory-type research, with a quantitative approach. The nursing care is based on the knowledge and experiences acquired during the undergraduate education and posterior process of constant development in the professional life. The playfulness accompanying nursing care tends to make it a humanized care, which is one of the challenges of nursing. The individual, in valuing leisure during his free time, tends to be more flexible, sensitive, critical and creative; thus, favorable to the playfulness in his life, inclusive in his work. In this context, this research assumed that the leisure activities practiced by the nursing academics would have an influence on valuing playfulness in their lives.
