Concomitância de ceratocone e iridociclite heterocrômica de Fuchs

Keratoconus associated with Fuchs' heterochromic cyclitis

RESUMO

Descrevemos um caso de ceratocone associado a iridociclite heterocrômica de Fuchs (IHF). Após análise dos possíveis mecanismos etiopatogênicos das duas doenças não conseguimos formular uma hipótese para explicar sua ocorrência simultânea em nosso paciente. Segundo nosso conhecimento, trata-se do primeiro relato da concomitância destas patologias.

SUMMARY

The authors report a case of keratoconus and Fuchs heterochromic cyclitis (FHC) in the same patient. After a review of the literature, we could not find any pathogenetic mechanisms common to both diseases. According to our knowlegde, this is the first time that such an association is described in the literature.
