A partir da reflexão sobre a estrutura do sujeito e os mecanismos de negação deste à realidade, analisaremos o lugar que ocupa a psicose como estrutura em relação à neurose. Com esse objetivo, o texto tratará da diferença na obra de Jacques Lacan entre o significante e a letra. Para isso, comparar-se-á a definição de linguagem tal como definida pela linguística e o uso que Lacan faz desta. Por último, abordar-se-á uma reflexão sobre o nome próprio e o lugar que a loucura ocupa frente a letra e o nome próprio.

The present paper analyzed the place occupied by psychosis as a structure in relation to neurosis, based on reflections about the mechanisms of denial of the subject in face of reality. Therefore, the text discusses the differences between the significant and the letter in the work of J. Lacan. The use Lacan made of language is compared with the definition of language, according to linguistics. Finally, a reflection is made about the proper name and the place of madness concerning the letter.

O objetivo deste ensaio é apresentar uma visão geral da crítica de Paul Feyerabend da metodologia científica e, mais precisamente, sobre a exigência da adoção de uma postura flexível frente à construção e à afirmação de veracidade de hipóteses científicas. A máxima que deve regê-las deve ser "tudo vale". O ensaio aponta as razões históricas que justificam, em certa medida e tomando-se cuidado frente a tal voluntarismo teórico, a adoção dessa abertura a novos pressupostos em ciência. No ensaio, defende-se o pressuposto de que não existem condições que limitem indefinidamente a pesquisa. Afirma-se também que não há uma única teoria capaz de apreender o objeto em seu todo, da mesma forma como o próprio processo de investigação é inesgotável.

The objective of this essay is to give an overview of Paul Feyerabend’s review of scientific methodology, and more precisely, the requiriment of the adoption of a more flexible attitude towards the construction and the statement of the veracity of scientific hypotheses. The ruling principle is "anything goes". This essay points to the historical reasons that left, to an extent and taking the due care with such theoretical voluntarism, the adoption of this opening to new presuppositions in science. It is proposed that there are not conditions which limit research indefinitely. There is not a single theory able to capture the object in its entirety in the same way that the investigation process itself is inexhaustible.

A importância da obra de Winnicott para a psicanálise vem sendo reafirmada nos últimos anos, junto ao seu interesse crescente para o campo das psicoses. O propósito do presente estudo é apresentar as bases teóricas dessa que é uma das abordagens mais fecundas para a compreensão do fenômeno psíquico, não apenas em condições patológicas, como em condições normais de desenvolvimento. Trata-se de um arcabouço conceitual que nos permite pensar a problemática resultante das organizações não edipianas do aparelho psíquico, cujas incidências na clínica contemporânea são cada vez mais freqüentes. Enfoca-se, sobretudo, a gênese da organização psicótica, em suas relações com a constituição do mundo interno e o papel estruturante do objeto e da experiência ilusória no desenvolvimento psíquico.

Over the last few years, the importance of Winnicott’s work for psychoanalysis has been reaffirmed together with its growing interest to the field of psychosis. The purpose of the present study was to present the theoretical basis of this approach, which is one of the most fecund for the understanding of the psychic phenomenon, not only in pathological conditions but also in normal developmental conditions. This is a conceptual framework that allows us to reflect about problems resulting from non-oedipal organization of the psychic apparatus, which incidence in contemporary clinical practice is increasingly frequent. Major emphasis is placed on the genesis of psychotic organization, on its relations to the constitution of the inner world and the structuring role played by the object, and the illusory experience in the psychic development of the human being.

O presente artigo pretende interrogar o advento da lembrança e situá-lo frente à operação psicanalítica. São estabelecidas articulações entre os limites em que desemboca a análise da lembrança encobridora e a natureza estruturalmente incompleta da memória. Para tal, procura-se demonstrar na metapsicologia freudiana da memória a existência de um elemento extra-mnêmico sob a forma de das Ding, cuja impossibilidade de assimilação as imagens mnêmicas viriam encobrir.

The purpose of this article is to raise questions on the emergence of memories and to situate them vis-à-vis the psychoanalytical operation. Links are established among the limits to which the analysis of the concealing event leads and the structurally incomplete nature of memory. The article therefore attempts to demonstrate that in the Freudian metapsychology of memory there is an extra-mnemic functional element beyond recollections found in the form of das Ding, which cannot be assimilated as a memory and must therefore be buried by the formation of remembered images.

O presente artigo interpreta a temporalização do tempo na psicanálise freudiana, detendo-se particularmente na análise da primeira teoria do trauma. Mostra a função temporalizadora da sexualidade determinada por seu caráter disjuntivo e expressa no termo posterioridade, no duplo sentido que adquire na obra freudiana: o progressivo e o regressivo. A simbolização implicada na teoria do trauma e o recalque são discriminados em suas relações com a temporalidade. O percurso enseja uma discussão do fundamento do pensamento freudiano entre gênese e estrutura, para concluir com uma avaliação da desconstrução da herança científica de Freud na psicanálise que se inicia.

This article interprets the temporalization of time in Freudian psychoanalysis, particularly on the analysis of the first trauma theory. Sexuality is shown to have a temporalizing function determined by its separating character and expressed in the term deferred-action,both in the progressive and regressive sense used by Freud. The symbolization implicated in the trauma theory and the repression are discriminated in their relations to temporality. The basis of Freudian thinking between genesis and structure is discussed, concluding with an evaluation of the deconstruction of Freud’s scientific heritage in psychoanalysis as founded by him.

Toda reflexão sobre a pesquisa em psicanálise se concentra em geral: (a) na mútua implicação que se espera aí entre a dimensão teórica e a clínica; (b) num debate entre a pesquisa psicanalítica e a pesquisa «científica», onde a psicanálise é levada a confrontar-se com a ciência cartesiana, experimental, positivista ou neo-positivista, e assim adiante… O presente estudo quer abordar uma região menos explorada nesse debate; quer demonstrar que a psicanálise freudiana, sobretudo com Lacan e após Lacan, acabou sendo levada a uma «submissão pânica» ao a priori da enunciação do fundador (Freud) ou do re-fundador (Lacan). A pesquisa ficou embaraçada numa teia excessivamente «transferencial», sob o regime de um dixit Lacan sobreposto a um dixit Freud. O autor defende uma saída para isso: conceber a pesquisa psicanalítica como uma conceituação estruturante do inconsciente com Lacan e Freud, e não sob Lacan e Freud.

Reflection about research in psychoanalysis generally focus on: (a) the mutual implications supposed to exist between the theoretical and clinical dimensions; (b) the discussion between psychoanalytical and "scientific" research, in which psychoanalysis in confronted with Cartesian, Experimentalist, Positivist, or Neo-Positivis models, among others. The present study intended to approach a field that has been poorly explored on this debate, aiming to demonstrate that Freudian psychoanalysis, specially with and beyond Lacan, was led to a "panicky surrender" to he a priori enunciation of the founder (Freud) or to the re-founder (Lacan). Research got entrapped on a web of excessive transference regulated by a Lacan dixit over a Freud dixit. I suggest that the way out of this puzzle is to conceptualize psychoanalytical research as a "structuring conceptualization" of the unconscious with Lacan and Freud rather than under Lacan and Freud.

O artigo argumenta que a universidade deve assumir a função de legitimar a vocação científica da psicanálise. O objeto da psicanálise faz com que ela opere com um saber suposto e cabe à universidade demonstrar o saber envolvido na experiência. O trabalho alerta ainda para os riscos ideológicos do discurso universitário e sugere sua confrontação contínua pelo discurso analítico.

The present paper argues that the University has the function to legitimize the scientific vocation of psychoanalysis. The subject of psychoanalysis requires that it operates based on a presumed knowledge. It is up to the University to demonstrate its validity. This paper also warns about the ideological risks of the academic discourse and suggests that such discourse should be confronted continually with the analytical discourse.

Este trabalho tem por objetivo tematizar a questão do acaso na psicanálise levando em consideração que Freud utiliza esta noção ao longo de sua elaboração. Apesar de Freud empregar, em seu texto, apenas a palavra Tyché, para designar o acaso, consideramos ser possível depreender uma outra acepção do acaso que se refere a noção de Aion. A nosso ver esta noção vai ser entendida, num primeiro momento, como algo da ordem acidental (Tyché) fundamentando a questão do funcionamento do aparato psíquico e, num segundo momento, vai remeter à idéia de Aion uma vez que passa a ser problematizada a questão de um para além do aparato psíquico.

This article aimed to explore the question of chance in psychoanalysis, taking into account Freud’s use of this notion in his work. Although only the word Tyché appears in his texts to designate chance, the possibility of another acceptation of chance derived from the notion of Aion is intertained. This concept of chance may first be understood as something accidental (Tyché) at the root of how the psychic apparatus works, and consequently leads to the idea of Aion, when the question of something that lies beyond the psychic apparatus is raised.

É empreendido um exame dos debates contemporâneos sobre o entendimento da noção freudiana de supereu, valorizando a importância desta noção não apenas para a clínica psicanalítica, mas para uma teoria psicanalítica da cultura. Isso permite discriminar diferentes versões da articulação entre supereu e consciência moral, assim como entre o supereu e o ideal do eu. Os pontos de aproximação e de divergência entre o imperativo categórico kantiano e o supereu são discutidos.

Contemporary debates about the Freudian notion of superego are focused, highlighting the importance of this notion regarding both psychoanalytic clinic and psychoanalytic theory of culture. Different versions of the relationship between superego and moral conscience, as well as between superego and ego ideal are identifyed. Points of convergence and divergence between the Kantian categorical imperative and the superego are discussed.

Este trabalho é uma parte da pesquisa Processos de Adaptações Criativas - Cinema Literário e Psicanálise, cujo objetivo principal é a análise específica da linguagem e das transformações sofridas pelos textos literários quando da passagem para textos fílmicos. Apresento como exemplo o filme Quincas Borba (dirigido por Roberto Santos), baseado no livro homônimo de Machado de Assis.

This paper is the abridgment of the research Processos de Adaptações Criativas - Cinema Literário e Psicanálise (Creative Adaptation Processes - Literary Cinema and Psychoanalysis), which main goal is the specific analysis of language as well as of the transformations undergone by literary texts in their translation to filmic texts. I present as an example the movie Quincas Borba (directed by Roberto Santos), based on the homonymous book by Machado de Assis.

Examinando a base conceitual da obra freudiana sobre a interpretação-sonho (Traumdeutung), o trabalho procura caracterizar alguns elementos para uma metapsicologia da interpretação psicanalítica. Conclui que da mesma maneira que o sonho, a interpretação aponta para as vicissitudes do manejo da angústia, no sentido de facilitar as vias de expressão e mobilidade do desejo.

This paper examined the conceptual basis of Freudian thinking concerning dream-interpretation (Traumdeutung) to devise elements for the metapsychology of analytic interpretation. It is argued that dreams as much as interpretation point to the vicissitudes of dealing with anxiety to provide new ways to the expression and mobility of desire.

Partindo do procedimento de comparação e oposição entre modelos culturais, método de investigação da antropologia cultural, examinamos os princípios organizadores da pré-modernidade e modernidade e seus efeitos no laço social na modernidade. Dos impasses daí resultantes, podemos situar tanto os sintomas sociais quanto as dificuldades subjetivas. A partir dessa psicopatologia podemos delimitar a clínica psicanalítica, criada por Freud, que pressupõe o sujeito moderno inaugurado por Descartes e que coexiste com clínicas diversas. Tal delimitação implica definir os limites extremos do sujeito moderno, seus ideais e imperativos próprios. É isso que caracteriza a metapsicologia do sujeito moderno, submetido ao imperativo de sair de casa (abandonar a tradição que o funda), referir-se dentro de um tempo e espaço sem centro fixo e submetido ao comando dos objetos. O aparelho psíquico se estrutura a partir do material que a cultura coloca à disposição do sujeito, de tal modo que o inconscientizado singular não se articula fora do social.

The author sets himself to examine the organizing principles of Pre-Modernity and Modernity starting from procedures of comparison and opposition among cultural models, a method of investigation of Cultural Anthropology . The effects of these principles on the social relations are also studied. The resulting impasse allows us to locate both the social symptoms and the subjective difficulties. From this psychopathology, we can delimit the psychoanalytic clinical practice, created by Freud. This clinical practice presupposes the modern subject - introduced by Descartes -, and which coexists with diverse clinical practices. A delimitation of this sort implies a definition of the extreme boundaries of the modern subject, his ideals and his imperatives. The metapsychology of the modern subject is characterized by the subject’s submission to the imperative to leave home (thus abandoning the tradition which is his own foundation), to refer itself within time and space with no fixed center, and the submission of the subject to the command of the objects. The psychic apparatus is structured from the material the culture provides the subject with. Hence, the singular "unconscioused" cannot articulate itself outside the social means.
