Summary
Four new species of intestinal trematodes (Haploporidae) from freshwater fishes of Colombia were described: Chalcinotrema ruedasueltensis n. sp. from Astyanax fasciatus; Saccocoelioides magnorchis n. sp. and S. saccodontis n. sp. from Saccodon caucae; and S. leporinodus from Leporinodus vittatus. The genus Saccocoelioides Szidat, 1954, was redefined, and the species that should be included in it were discussed. S. quintus nom. nov. was proposed to replace the designation S, N.º 5 Szidat, 1954. S. elongatus Szidat, 1954, and S. magnus Szidat, 1954, were considered to be species inquerenda, and S. sogandaiesi Lumsden, 1963, was excluded from the genus. Additionally, the Brazilian species Chalcinotrema salobrensis Teixeira de Freitas, 1947, was reported from Colombia for the first time.
