With wood from 7 indigenous Amazon wood species tests were conducted to determine the accuracy of three different resistance type moisture meter in measuring M.C within the range of 6 to 30%. Actual wood moisture content was measured using ovendry method. Results were obtained through the development fo linear regressions comparing actual wood moisture content with moisture meters reading. The research results allow for M.C. Corrections for each of the three meters and each of the tropical species under investigation and also show the reliability of each of the moisture content meters used.
