The main goal of this work was to characterize a new brazil nut disease in the State of Acre-Brazil, incited by Colletotrichum sρ., as far as symtoms, cause and control.
Under laboratory condition, the efficiency of four chemical produts was evaluated as to "in vitro" inhibition of mycelial growth of the fungus. The results showed that all fungicides but Moncozeb could suppress mycelial growth.
