Four hundred and eighty one-day old broiler male chicks were used in a completely randomized design with four treatments (two oil levels and two calcium levels) and four replicates to study the effect of soybean oil in the diet on bone calcium and phosphorus deposition at seven, 14 and 21 days of age. Negative effects on bone calcium and phosphorus retention at 14 and 21 day-old chickens were observed with soybean oil addition in the diets.
