Adoção e mito: os destinos do "mito familiar" na cena da família contemporânea. Estudo a partir de um caso clínico de adoção na França atual

Abstract:

Adoption and myth: the destiny of the "family myth" in the contemporary family scene. Study from a case of adoption in France today. A marital paternity project is sometimes hindered due to sterility or low fertility, leading the couple to begin an adoption process. In this context, the pathway to parenthood may be unusual, which feeds a shared imaginary from which a whole chain of representations and dreams around the foster child emerges. In this article we propose a reflection linked to the operation of psychic marital issues and family mobilization in a case of an adoption that took place in France. We consider how, "between myth and reality", the bond between parents and children is organized.
