A noção freudiana de "realidade psíquica" merece ser interrogada a partir do conceito kantiano de transcendental, uma vez que ela levanta a questão das condições de possibilidade da experiência; e isso a partir de um ponto de vista tríplice: o do aparelho psíquico, de sua estrutura e da atividade inconsciente; o ponto de vista da obrigação moral; e o da experiência estética. Em cada caso, os embaraços de Freud para determinar um fundamento empírico deixam perceber ao mesmo tempo a tentação e a resistência para com a explicação transcendental. Mas isso pode também conduzir a uma revisão do conceito filosófico de "realidade".

Freud, the psychic reality and the temptation of the transcendental. The Freudian notion of psychic reality deserves to be questioned from the point of view of the Kantian concept of the transcendental, since it raises the point about the conditions of experience possibility. This is done in the basis of three viewpoints: first from the one regarding the psychic apparatus, its structure and its unconscious activity; then from the point of view of moral obligation, and finally from that of aesthetic experience. In each case, Freud's embarrassment to determine an empirical basis for reality leave way to both temptation and resistance to transcendental explanations. On the other hand, his very position can be seen as an open path for revisiting the philosophic concept of reality.

O artigo se insere numa pesquisa mais ampla acerca das novas formas de padecimento psíquico que se apresentam na atualidade. Essas formas, que têm na compulsão uma figura-tipo, colocam em xeque a modalidade de escuta, de entendimento teórico e de intervenção clínica do psicanalista. Discutimos aqui os principais impasses trazidos por esses pacientes ao dispositivo psicanalítico, procurando nele apontar algumas possibilidades de abertura ou transformação.

On the compulsions and the psychoanalytical setting. The article is part of a wider research about the new forms of psychical suffering as they appear in our present time. Those forms - compulsion is their prototype - inquire the psychoanalytical way of listening, of theoretical understanding and of clinical intervening. It is discussed here the main problems brought to the psychoanalytical setting by those patients, looking for some possibilities of opening or transformation.

Este artigo tem por objetivo situar e discutir as definições e o estatuto da noção de objeto na teoria psicanalítica de Freud. Será caracterizada a principal concepção freudiana que postula as pulsões como aspecto originário da constituição da subjetividade e os objetos como aspectos secundários. Mas será evidenciada também outra posição possível de ser derivada de Freud, que considera os objetos como determinantes originários na constituição da subjetividade. Será enfatizado que uma das riquezas epistemológicas da psicanálise está na dupla posição com relação ao estatuto do objeto.

The concept of the object in the Freudian psychoanalysis. The aim of this paper is to discuss and situate the definition of the concept of the object in the Freudian psychoanalysis. The main Freudian conception that conceives the drive as the original aspect of subjectivity, and the object as a secondary one, will be characterized. But another position derived from Freud will be evinced: the one that considers the object as the original aspect in subjectivity. Thus, it will be emphasized that psychoanalysis epistemological richness derives from this double position regarding the object.

Em sua primeira parte, este artigo propõe-se a retomar e a desenvolver o termo afânise, tal como foi forjado por Ernest Jones. Na segunda parte, trata-se de acrescentar a importância dada por Jacques Lacan a este termo: do registro do puro desaparecimento do desejo, em sua relação com a castração, como foi sustentado por E. Jones, passamos ao registro do desaparecimento do sujeito, enquanto sujeito dividido e desejante. Para isso, recorremos ao exemplo do personagem literário, Hamlet, da tragédia de Shakespeare.

Some considerations about the aphanisis term from E. Jones and J. Lacan. The aim of the article in its first part is to retake and to develop the term aphanisis, such as forged by Ernest Jones. In its second part, the purpose is to add to this term the importance given by Jacques Lacan : from the register of the pure disappearing of desire in its relation to castration, as supported by Jones, we will pass on to the register of the disappearing of the subject, while in the form of a divided and desiring subject. Therefore, we will use the example of the literary character, Hamlet, taken from Shakespeare's tragedy.

Tendo como ponto central da argumentação o caráter não transitivo da transmissão em psicanálise, o trabalho compara a lógica do discurso literário, em particular o conto "A terceira margem do rio", de J. Guimarães Rosa, com algumas questões cruciais da experiência psicanalítica, visando pôr em cena, em termos de enunciação e de enunciado, uma experiência de transmissão.

From "The third bank of the river" - some considerations about transmission in psychoanalysis. Having the intransitive dimension of transmission in psychoanalysis at its core, this paper constructs a comparison between the logic of the literary discourse, in particular the short-story "From the third bank of the river", by J. Guimarães Rosa, and some crucial questions of the analytic experience, with the purpose of enacting, on the level of both the enunciation and the statement, an experience of transmission.

O artigo discute as formulações acerca da causalidade psíquica nos primórdios da obra de Jacques Lacan. Com base na análise do caso Aimée, presente na tese de psiquiatria de Lacan, busca demonstrar como a hipótese de uma origem social nos mecanismos psíquicos de autopunição da paranóia permite a Lacan articular, alguns anos depois, identificação e causalidade psíquica.

The case of Aimée and psychic causality. The article discusses the formulations about psychic causality in Lacan's early work. Based on the analysis of the Aimée case of Lacan's psychiatric thesis, it tries to demonstrate how the hypothesis of social origin in the psychic mechanisms of self-punishment present in the paranoia, make it possible for Lacan to articulate, years later, identification and psychic causality.

Em sua discussão, o autor diz que a angústia é o motor da análise e de seu progresso: em si mesma é abertura para os enigmas do interior. O desamparo, por sua vez, indica que a vida psíquica continua a ser vivida fora de si, na desesperada abertura para um outro que não responde. Então, na análise, se uma mobiliza, o outro paralisa. O amor (compreendido em sua parte não narcísica) é "agarrar-se" aos objetos do mundo exterior, é abertura mantida para o outro e, nesse ponto, homogênea do estado de desamparo do bebê.

Between anxiety and helplessness. In this paper the author states that anxiety is the engine of both analysis and its progress: in itself it is an opening to the puzzles of the interior. Helplessness, on the other hand, points out that psychic life is still being lived out of oneself, in a desperate opening to an unresponsive other. So, under the analysis point of view, while one mobilizes, the other paralyses. Love (out of its narcissistic part) is "to cling" to objects of the external world, it is an opening to the other and, at that point, homogeneous to the baby's state of helplessness.

Visa-se analisar as críticas dirigidas por A. Sokal e J. Bricmont, na obra Imposturas intelectuais, ao estilo de J. Lacan e à utilização que este faz das ciências matemáticas. Sustenta-se que o desconhecimento de conceitos psicanalíticos faz com que tais críticas não atinjam seu alvo. São discutidas questões de estilo, com base na posição de J. Lacan, avesso ao estilo pedagógico por razões intrínsecas à própria psicanálise. No que concerne às questões de conteúdo, defende-se a idéia de que os críticos apoiam-se em uma concepção de matemática que, além de não ser única, difere daquela adotada pelo psicanalista. Considera-se que houve, por parte dos críticos, negligência intelectual em relação ao programa de pesquisas de J. Lacan. Conclui-se que a popularidade da obra Imposturas intelectuais, no que diz respeito exclusivamente às críticas endereçadas a J. Lacan, não decorre da aplicação de critérios acadêmicos e intelectuais. Sugere-se, segundo uma hipótese lacaniana, que a fonte do sucesso de Sokal e J. Bricmont reside na satisfação com a zombaria.

Postures and impostures: Lacan's style and the use of mathematical science. The purpose of the present work is to examine the criticism to J. Lacan's style and his use of mathematical sciences made by A.Sokal and J.Bricmont in Intelectual impostures. It argues that the lack of knowledge concerning psychoanalytical concepts is the main pitfall of the criticism attempted at and that J.Lacan's position against a pedagogical approach is due to psychoanalytical reasons. The article demonstrates also that Sokal and Bricmont rely on a conception of mathematics that, not being the only one available, does differ from that of the psychoanalyst. The paper goes on to point at intellectual negligence on the part of the critics regarding Lacan's program of research. It concludes by stating that the popularity of Intelectual impostures, in what respects exclusively the criticism to Lacan, does not stem from the intellectual and academic criteria. Following a Lacanian hypothesis, it suggests that the source of Sokal and Bricmont's popularity resides rather in the satisfaction obtained through mockery.
