DEFORMAÇÕES RADICULARES EM PLANTAS DE <i>Pinus taeda</i> L. PRODUZIDAS EM TUBETES QUANDO COMPARADAS COM PLANTAS ORIGINADAS POR SEMEADURA DIRETA

RESUMO

O trabalho analisa a implantação de povoamentos de Pinus taeda L. por semeadura direta, procurando observar a estruturação reticular das plantas, comparando-as com mudas de mesma idade produzidas por tubetes. Os resultados mostraram que o sistema reticular das plantas originadas no local apresentou-se bem distribuído horizontalmente e sem eformações, enquanto aquele originado de mudas produzidas em tubetes, além de apresentar distribuição horizontal deficiente, apresentou uma série de deformações morfológicas, que poderão comprometer o crescimento da futura árvore.

ABSTRACT

This paper analyses the direct sowing as an establishment technique, for Pinus taeda comparativelly with planted seedlings of the same age, considering the root system structure evaluation. The root system morphology, developed from seeds in place, presented no deformation while those developed from planted seedlings, showed bad horizontal distribution and lateral root deformation, which could affect the future development of the tree.
