ABSTRACT
The present research was undertaken with black wattle, Acacia mearnsii De Wild. The objective was to determine the green bark yield, estimated through an equation obtained by a production model, related age, dominant height and basal area, expressed by the generic model: log C = b0 + b1 h0 2 +b2 log G, where C = green bark weight per hectare; G = basal area per hectare; h0 = dominant height. This equation showed a high precision. The independent variables, dominant height and basal area explained 97,8% of the green bark yield variation per hectare.
