The aim of this article is to analyze the influence of the norms produced by the Inter-American Human Rights System in a case of transitional justice involving the Justice and Peace Law in Colombia. The author argues that the dynamics and character of the interaction between judges and domestic human rights non-governmental organizations (NGOs) were the factors that shaped the impact of the Inter-American system.
