We introduce here fifteen of the first published articles on Nietzsche in the Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo press, between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The transcribed text below follows the publications in chronological order. Some of the texts concentrate on the Brazilian context, others seek to understand the structure of the philosopher's thought and others deal with the French cultural inclinations or the German ideological distrust.
