Laundry, ironing, and male callers: debates over the regulation of prostitution and sexual work experiences in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, end of the 19th century

This article explores public debates over the regulation of prostitution, as well as experiencies of sexual work in Buenos Aires and in Rio de Janeiro in order to establish some connections between the debates over prostitution and the debates over labor relacions in course in both cities by the end of the 19th Century.
