Abstract
This text proposes the analysis of a questionnaire carried out with the participation of military police officers (PMs) from 23 states in Brazil at the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic. We observed how general aspects of the health crisis impacted and led PMs to review their protocols and how social rearrangements caused by the pandemic affected policing. The research shows that covid-19 created conditions for officers to manifest vulnerabilities such as insufficient equipment, lack of investment in general, fragility on institutional assistance to police mental health and, finally, lack of social and professional recognition.
